Why Binladen was Wrong?

مگر یہ ٹائٹل ہمارے ذوق کے مطابق نہ تھا۔ اس کے بعد ایسا ہوا کہ پاکستان کے ہندوستانی سفارت خانے کے ایک ہندو افسر کی ملاقات لاہور کے مولانا جاوید احمد غامدی سے ہوئی۔ غامدی صاحب نے اُن سے صدرِ اسلامی مرکز کا تعارف کرایا۔ اس کے بعد مذکورہ ہندو افسر اور ان کی اہلیہ رنجنا سین گپتا دہلی میں ان سے ملاقات کے لیے آئے۔ یہ خاتون دہلی کے پنگوئن آفس کی انچارج ہیں۔ اُن سے مذکورہ کتاب کا ذکر ہوا تو وہ اس کا مسودہ پڑھنے کے لیے اپنے ساتھ لے گئیں۔ پڑھنے کے بعد انھوں نے کہا کہ پنگوئن اس کتاب کو چھاپنے کے لیے تیار ہے۔ اس طرح یہ کتاب دسمبر 2009 میں پنگوئن کی طرف سے شائع ہوئی۔

صدرِ اسلامی مرکز کی کتاب (The Prophet of Peace) کو لوگ غیر معمولی طور پر پسند کر رہے ہیں۔ ٹائمز آف انڈیا (نئی دہلی) سے تعلق رکھنے والے ایک سینئر جرنلسٹ مسٹر گوتم سدھارتھ نے اس کتاب کو کسی بک سیلر سے خرید کر حاصل کیا اور اس کو پڑھا۔ اس کو پڑھنے کے بعد انھوں نے مسٹر رجت ملہوترا سے کہا: This book gives a new understanding of Islam, it is like a paradigm shift. It is a well-documented book. موجودہ زمانے میں مسلمانوں کے مسلح جہاد نے اسلام کی تصویر یہ بنا دی تھی کہ اسلام تشدد کا مذہب ہے، اور پیغمبر اسلام تشدد کے پیغمبر ہیں۔ یہ کتاب اس غلط فہمی کو ختم کرتی ہے اور خالص علمی انداز میں یہ ثابت کرتی ہے کہ اسلام امن کا مذہب ہے اور پیغمبر اسلام امن کے پیغمبر ہیں۔ اگر یہ کہا جائے تو غلط نہ ہوگا کہ موجودہ زمانے میں یہ اسلامی دعوت کی نسبت سے ہونے والا سب سے بڑا واقعہ ہے۔ موجودہ زمانے میں عالمی میڈیا نے ساری دنیا میں اسلام کی متشددانہ تصویر بنا دی تھی۔ یہ کتاب اس تصویر کو مکمل طور پر بدل رہی ہے۔ اس کتاب کا انٹرنیشنل پبلشر کی طرف سے شائع ہونا بھی ایک معجزے سے کم نہیں۔
