A man’s greatest weakness is his offspring The Prophet once picked up his grandson, Hasan ibn Ali, held him in his arms and kissed him. Looking towards his companions, he said: “It is children who make misers, fools and cowards of us.” (AL-HAYTHAMI) In Tabarani’ s account these words are added: “May God destroy the devil,” said Abdullah ibn Umar. “Children are a sore trial for man.”
