Foreword

According to Abu Hurayrah, the Prophet recited a verse from the Qur’an about the Day the earth would give its account. Then he asked, ‘Do you know what this account will be?’ His listeners replied, ‘God and His Messenger know better.’ ‘The account the earth will give,’ said the Prophet, ‘is the witness it will bear to the deeds and misdeeds all men and women have committed throughout its length and breadth, and to the exact moments of their commission. That is what the earth’s account will be.’ HADITH OF AT-TIRMIDHI.
