If a Muslim farms the land or plants a tree, and then a bird, a beast or a man eats something from it, he receives in return the reward of a charity. HADITH OF MUSLIM ON THE AUTHORITY OF ANAS IBN MALIK. 130 What is lawful and what is forbidden are both quite clear. But between them are matters which are not clear. A man who avoids the unclear will be even more careful to avoid an open sin. But it is feared that a man who does not baulk at unclear sins will indulge even in open sin. And sin is like a grazing ground forbidden by God. A beast that passes by it risks the chance of straying into it. HADITH OF AL-BUKHARI AND MUSLIM ON THE AUTHORITY OF NU’MAN IBN BASHIR.
