Foreword

Sa’ib has thus recorded his commendation of the Prophet; ‘In the period of Ignorance (i.e. before Islam) when you were my partner in business, you were the finest of all partners. You never deceived me. Neither did you quarrel with me.’ HADITH OF ABU DAWUD. 155 According to Ya’ala when he asked Umm Salamah how the Prophet recited the Qur’an, she replied, ‘The Prophet used to recite the Qur’an with great clarity.
