1992 6 June 5 It is a wise man who fears God (47) “Wisdom comes from fear of God,” said Abdullah ibn Masud. Commenting on the verse of the Quran, “He grants wisdom unto whom He will,” Abul Aliyah said that here wisdom meant fear’ of God, for true wisdom could come only from fear of God.”
