In pre-Islamic Arabia it was thought that making material provision for Hajj reflected a materialistic outlook. If a person did not make such arrangements and set out for Hajj, it was thought that he was very pious. Such a person would say about himself that he relied only on God. But the Quran does not consider this sort of external or exhibitionist religiosity as true piety. Religiosity has to do with the heart and mind, not with external demonstrations of this sort. True piety is not the mere lack of material provision; it is a cleansing of the mind and heart of the fear of everything and everyone other than God. o BOOKS Read online or download literature by Maulana Wahiduddin Khan in 11 languages! 4cpsglobal.org/books ARTICLES Read Maulana’s writings as he expounds on the spiritual wisdom of the religion of Islam. 4cpsglobal.org/articles QURAN Read online and Download the Quran and its commentary in Arabic, English, Urdu and Hindi. 4cpsglobal.org/quran VIDEOS Watch Maulana Wahiduddin Khan deal with the pressing issues of our times. 4 cpsglobal.org/videos PODCASTS Listen to the audio of Maulana Wahiduddin Khan’s books and lectures. 4cpsglobal.org/podcasts MAGAZINES Boost your spiritual health every month with our English and Urdu Magazines. 4cpsglobal.org/magazines
