Self-evident Proof It is no exaggeration to say that Islam and violence are contradictory to each other. The concept of Islamic violence is so obviously unfounded that, prima facie, it stands rejected. The fact that violence is not sustainable in the present world is enough to demonstrate that violence as a principle is quite alien to the scheme of things in Islam. Islam claims to be an eternal religion and, as such, it cannot afford to have a principle in its scheme which at any time could be found unsustainable. Any attempt to bracket violence with Islam amounts to casting doubt upon the universal message of the Islamic religion. A phrase like ‘Islamic violence’ is the same kind of contradiction in terms as ‘pacifistic terrorism’. The truth is that all the teachings of Islam are based, directly or indirectly, on the principle of peace. While all Islamic objectives may be achieved in a peaceful atmosphere, there are no Islamic objectives which may be achieved in a violent atmosphere. o BOOKS Read online or download literature by Maulana Wahiduddin Khan in 11 languages! 4cpsglobal.org/books ARTICLES Read Maulana’s writings as he expounds on the spiritual wisdom of the religion of Islam. 4cpsglobal.org/articles QURAN Read online and download the Quran and its commentary in Arabic, English, Urdu and Hindi. 4cpsglobal.org/quran VIDEOS Watch Maulana Wahiduddin Khan deal with the pressing issues of our times. 4cpsglobal.org/videos PODCASTS Listen to the audio of Maulana Wahiduddin Khan’s books and lectures. 4cpsglobal.org/podcasts MAGAZINES Boost your spiritual health every month with our English and Urdu Magazines. 4cpsglobal.org/magazines CPS International w w w . c p s g l o b a l . o r g NEW
