I write to thank you ever so much for kindly seeing me when I was briefly in Delhi. It was an honour to have met you after having read so many of your important works. I learned a great deal from our discussion, and I was especially pleased to have your thoughts on my project. I do agree with you that a distinction ought to be drawn between "political Islam", which does not really exist, and "political Muslims", who do. I hope you will not mind if I stay in touch.
