Drunk driving : a license to kill

WOMAN BETWEEN ISLAM AND WESTERN SOCIETY By Maulana Wahiduddin Khan The status of woman in Islam is the same as that of man. Injunctions about honour and respect enjoined for one sex are enjoined equally for the other sex. So far as rights in this world and rewards in the Hereafter are concerned, there is no difference between the sexes. In the organization of daily living, both are equal participants and partners. Yet Islam sees man as man and woman as woman and, considering the natural differences, it advocates the principle of the division of labour between the two sexes rather than the equality of labour. 22 x 14.5 cm. 256 pages. ISBN 81-85063-75-3, Rs. 95 GOD ARISES By Maulana Wahiduddin Khan This book, the result of 30 years spent by the author in exhaustive research, attempts to present the basic teachings of religion in the light of modern knowledge and in a manner consistent with modern scientific method. After a thorough investigation of the subject, the writer has reached the conclusion that religious teachings are, academically, valid and as understandable and intellectually acceptable as any of the theories propounded by men of science. "... in the fourteen hundred years of Islamic history, innumerable books on Islam have appeared. There are just a few books calling mankind to God which are clearly distinguishable from the rest because of the clarity and force with which they make their appeal. Without doubt, this book is one of that kind." - Al-Ahram (Cairo) 22 x 14.5 cm, 271 pages. ISBN 81-85-063, Rs. 85
