The Muslim world must understand that reasons for their “zawal” are not external “sazish” but rather Muslims themselves are responsible for it. The Muslim movement should work on dawah and knowledge, and leave the government to the politicians. It gives me great pleasure that your hard, intelligent and persistent work is bringing Muslims all over the world to the realization of this point that the reason for our backwardness is not “sazish” against the Muslims, rather Muslims themselves are responsible for it. I pray and I am sure that soon the Muslim ulama and intelligentsia would realize that they should not work to change the government system, rather they should confine themselves to dawah and ilm (Jan Muhammad, Canada)

• I received an envelope from the Centre for Peace, Bangalore. Upon opening it, I was amazed to find the magazine, Spirit of Islam by one of my favourite scholars, Maulana Wahiduddin Khan.
