ख़ुदा की हिफ़ाज़त में

हिफ़ाज़त और मदद का यह ख़ास मामला फ़रमाया है। इंसानीयत के नमूने स्वामी विवेकानन्द (1863-1902) ने एक पत्र के जवाब में लिखा था कि मेरा अनुभव है कि अगर कभी कोई धर्म उल्लेखनीय हद तक इन्सानी बराबरी के लक्ष्य तक पहुंचा है तो वह इस्लाम और सिर्फ इस्लाम है। इसलिए मेरा यह स्पष्ट मत है कि व्यावहारिक (अमली) इस्लाम के बिना वेदांत के सिद्धांत, भले ही वे कितने ही अच्छे और शानदार हों, आम इन्सान के लिए बिल्कुल मूल्यहीन हैं। हमारे देश के लिए दो महान व्यवस्थाओं का मिलाप हिन्दुत्व और इस्लाम- वेदांत दिमाग और इस्लाम जिस्म - एक मात्र आशा है। मैं अपने मस्तिष्क की आंख से देख रहा हूं कि भविष्य का आदर्श भारत, अव्यवस्था और फूट से निकल कर वेदांत दिमाग़ और इस्लाम जिस्म के माध्यम से यशस्वी, सफल और अपराजेय बन रहा है। My experience is that if ever any religion approached this equality in an appreciable manner, it is Islam and Islam alone.
